Construction Management Intern

June - September 2018 • Port Orchard, WA

What I liked

I loved the hands on and in field experience. I got to be outside everyday, but also return to the office or be visited by the engineers and project managers to ask them questions. I also really enjoyed working with my coworkers in the Public Works department.

What I wish was different

I got thrown into the field and had be the sole inspector for a project with little instruction, so I wish I had gotten a little bit more guidance or instruction for daily expectations of me.

Advice

Stay alert, eager to learn, and ready for anything. Don't be hesitant, because people will doubt your decisions.
