I loved the people I worked with. Everyone was so kind, passionate for their work, and wanted to make a difference for inter-city Philadelphia students. The nature of my work as a data analyst was challenging and very project-based, but the reward of seeing improvement in student success was invaluable.
What I wish was different
Nothing really comes to mind; this was an incredibly positive experience. If anything, I wish I had started earlier in the summer and ended earlier. There was a very quick turn-around between when I finished working and when I had to return to school.
Advice
This experience is really what you make of it. Try to interact with as many people as possible, take on a breadth of responsibilities, find out what type of work makes you happy, and enjoy making a difference in Philadelphia.
