KIPP Columbus, a growing network of free, open enrollment public schools in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a committed, energetic, and visionary individual to serve as the KIPP Through College Alumni Counselor.

KIPP, the Knowledge Is Power Program, is a national network of free, open enrollment, college preparatory public schools dedicated to preparing students in undeserved communities for success in college and life. There are over 180 KIPP schools in 20 states and the District of Columbia serving more than 70,000 students. Nationally, KIPP students are enrolling in college at a rate of more than 85 percent, doubling the rate of community averages, and graduating at four times the national average for low-income students. Founded in 2008 with 50 students in 5th grade, KIPP Columbus currently serves
nearly 800 students in grades K-2 and 5-8 at a new campus built on the grounds of a former golf course in Northeast Columbus. By 2020, KIPP Columbus will serve nearly 2,000 students in grades K-12 and an expanded pre-school program. In
2013, KIPP Columbus ranked in the top five of ALL Ohio charter schools for student growth on state assessments and 3rd among schools of any type in Franklin County. The KIPP Columbus Team includes passionate educators committed to finding a way or making one so that all students go to and through college. Our state-of the- art campus provides a transformational education setting including college level technology, flexible and dynamic learning spaces in and outside of the building, and access to locally sourced fruits and vegetables prepared by our in house chef.
