Interns were treated with utmost respect. The internship is designed to teach and prepare interns for future careers in public service, not simply to use students as messengers or receptionists. They organize tours amd lectures to educate interns about the field, and encourage interns to observe trials once a week.
What I wish was different
The internship could have been improved by giving the interns more work to do. In the Grand Jury Department, it is difficult to intern because interns cannot be involved in the actual Grand Jury process, due to confidentiality.
Advice
Offer to help and do more. Talk to everyone at every level, because even those outside of the court room have good advice to give.
