About Kinexus Group

Recognized as one of 2017, 2018, and 2019's Best NonProfits to Work For by The NonProfit Times, one of Michigan’s Coolest Places to Work in 2016, and one of MiBiz Magazine’s Best Managed NonProfits in 2015, Kinexus Group is a cutting-edge community development organization with rapidly growing initiatives to create an economically thriving Michigan. Our team is committed to changing the world by empowering individuals and their families to economic sufficiency. We have played a pivotal role in Southwest Michigan for over five decades. From the Manpower Act to CETA thru JTPA, the Private Industry Council (PIC) to Michigan Works! and now Kinexus, our efforts and services have always focused on driving the regional economy forward. In the last 50+ years, we have gone from a small federally designated workforce program to a diverse multi-faceted nonprofit organization. The journey started long ago with the belief we could make a difference with economically disadvantaged people. And has grown into a belief we can provide solutions to complex economic challenges facing our region and the state of Michigan. It’s our rich history that compels us to transform the future of our region, our communities and our neighbors. Think of us as a hub of change agents that connect people, resources, and organizations with strategies and services that make our region, and Michigan, a great place to do business. May 2019 - August 2019 Benton Harbor, MI
“The entire experience was amazing. From the location, to the job itself, to the people that work at Kinexus, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Working at a non-profit was never something I considered doing, but my time with Kinexus was really mind changing.”

Finance Intern

May 2019 - August 2019 Benton Harbor, MI
“The people at Kinexus were very friendly. The company encouraged intern feedback on how to improve their culture and the internship program. As an intern, I completed projects that were necessary for the function of the team and the company as a whole.”
