Product Engeer

What I liked

Kimberly-Clark is very supportive! They allow you to follow your Interests with in the company. There are also many benefits you don’t see else where like a gym and ability to work remote sometimes.

What I wish was different

I wish I knew about my job earlier in the experience. I think know what I was getting into would have been helpful to make the most out of the experience.

Advice

Take 1:1 with everyone! Learn more about what’s outside your dept and ask for more work if you find yourself bored. Create meaningful relationships with the other coops and full time employees.

Tax Analyst Intern

May 2019 • Neenah, WI

What I liked

The role is filled with challenging tasks and allows for the student to make decisions that have an impact. Tasks have a meaning and are not just "busy work" which is very crucial to becoming a better professional. A lot of the tasks assigned, I have used in interviews with other companies and are great resume boosters.

What I wish was different

I wish that there was more collaboration between the interns. Besides doing individual state returns, there was not a lot of communication between co-workers at your level. You have a lot of collaboration with your mentors, but not the whole department which means so relationships are left out and not developed.

Advice

Ask questions and make sure you understand what is being asked of you. The more questions you ask, the more you will understand as the tasks you are assigned can be difficult and complex.

Finance Intern

June - August 2017 • Roswell, GA

What I liked

I got a lot of hands on experience, and I got to truly see what it is like to be a financial analyst and examine costs. I really liked that I got to work alongside the analysts, and got to work on relevant projects and analyses that make up their day-to-day work. In addition, I felt that I was challenged by the two projects I was assigned. It was neat because I got to interact with various teams, such as Strategy and Planning, outside of the finance team.

What I wish was different

I wish there had been more interaction between my team, because even though everybody got along, there was not many events or lunches where the whole team came together. Also, most people in the office are older, and I was hoping they had more workers close in age.

Advice

The one piece of advice that I would share with a future intern is to constantly ask questions, and ask to sit down and check over your work with your team.
