What I liked
1. Experience: Firsthand experience in the industry, I was able to learn the workings of the business more closely and understand the intricacies of how a business works since it is less centralized. It was nice to participate in meetings directly with the CEO and CTO, along with other departments like marketing, to see how everything is going. I like variety and gaining exposure to stuff that I don’t know a thing about.
Definitely a plus to be able to put this on my resume and have an upper hand when looking for my first co-op compared to others with no experience.
2. Was able to see what to keep in mind when working, such as focus, time management, my options when trying to solve a problem
3. Feedback from other workers and engineers was always appreciated.
4. Everyone was welcoming and friendly.
