Public Health and Environmental Health Intern
May - August 2019 • Grand Rapids, MI
What I liked
I loved the hand on experience in the lab testing water samples, as well as the individual responsibilities of looking at current research for a study my preceptor was starting.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have been able to be around for the beginning of the study and to see it be done and help with the results and gathering data.
Advice
One piece of advice I would share about this experience is to not hesitate to ask to be involved in a project and be open to different projects going on, you never know what could lead to a whole new interest for you.
