Kitchen Worker

July - August 2019 • Branson, MO

What I liked

The community with the other girls in the kitchen! I made so many amazing new friends.

What I wish was different

The hours. We worked 6 days a week from 8:00 a.m. to roughly 9:30 p.m. with two breaks in between. It was a lot of labor-intensive work and doing it for that many hours was difficult.

Advice

Go into it with a positive attitude. Yes, the work is hard and the days are long, but the experience is like no other. It was incredible serving amazing families every day and doing it alongside some of my favorite people in the world.

Camp Counselor

May - July 2019 • Branson, MO

What I liked

I love the senior staff they really equipped us during staff training. Camp is an absolute blast I have so much fun I can’t believe I get paid to do it. They have us two days off for each two week and many hotels in the area gave discounts to Kanakuk Workers which was a blessing. Love the friendships and connections I’ve made from Kamp.

What I wish was different

A place to stay that was free on breaks.

Advice

Go into with an open mind and heart to let the Lord work. It is exhausting about half way through having to continue being intentional. Nap when you can.
