I learned accounting and finance from a small business perspective. I got to report to the director of Finance and receive mentoring from VP or Marketing and VP of R&D. I was involved in so many aspects of the business. The finance team gets to work collaboratively on many projects with both marketing and client relations team. It was such a fun work environment!
What I wish was different
Because it was a newer business, their on boarding was not as smooth but overall a great learning experience.
Advice
Take advantage of this opportunity. Absorb as much information as you can. Don't be afraid to ask questions.
