The camp provided a really nice environment for the kids and families and there were definitely some really gratifying moments with the kids.
What I wish was different
The wages were very low (min wage). Salaries could be negotiated but still not to a fair enough level, in my opinion, considering we were outside in the heat for 8 hour days with no official break and with a lot of kids at once. We were forced to work overtime (overnight with 10+ kids) with no compensation and were told that if we called in sick or didn't attend these (completely) unpaid shifts that they would deduct each hour from our pay. Little flexibility as a worker with hours.
Advice
Considering the amount of effort the job took coupled with the incredibly unfair wages I would not return to this company.
