Advice
To get the most out of this experience, you really have to be willing to work hard and listen to the nurses. I think one of the things that has allowed me to thrive in this position is being easy-going and following the flow of my preceptor's day. Every nurse works a bit differently, and while they try to keep you under the same one or two preceptors, I think that you really learn the most from following the nurse and mimicking what they do. Eventually, as you get to know the staff, you can start doing things on your own with the confidence that you already watched the nurse complete those tasks before.
