I am loving the freedom I have in this position to shape my experience. What I enjoy about it most is working at the Syringe Access Program to provide Coloradans with clean supplies and access to support for substance use disorders.
What I wish was different
I wish I could do a little more direct service in this position!
Advice
AmeriCorps is amazing but a lot of the experience comes down to what organization you are paired with, so make sure to get a good feel for the organization before officially partnering with them!
