I really enjoyed the experience I was gaining, in seeing how campaigns are built and sustained. Fellow were the leads in many districts, as I was organized the whole of one Senate district. We gained a lot of experience with organizing platforms, phone calling campaigns, and canvass organization. In addition, we were often sent out of the office to various events to represent and support the candidate!
What I wish was different
I wish we had learned more about other facets of campaigning, such as communications, finances, and compliance issues. I do understand why we did not do so, but I wish we had more ability to assist in those spheres.
Advice
Get ready for hard work, but rewarding work when you see success.

What I liked
Fantastic office culture - I genuinely enjoyed being there and am still in touch with a number of my coworkers.
What I wish was different
Greater variety in my day-to-day. Some days all I did was make phone calls with the same message over and over again. It's important work to be sure, just not particularly engaging.
Advice
Working on this, or really any campaign in its early stages, involves a lot of menial work. It's important to keep your head up and remember that even the most boring tasks are essential in helping a candidate win election.
