I loved working with a team of compassionate and passionate people, who shared similar values and morals. I also loved being able to work closely alongside the animals.
What I wish was different
I wish there had been more organization and direction. There was no master calendar for the organization, so finding out when and where I was supposed to be (as an event photographer) was sometimes very difficult. Fortunately, after suggesting a master calendar, it was implemented.
Advice
Go in with an open mind and patience! Working with a newer organization will come with bumps and kinks that need working out- but having a good team and building those connections will help guide you through it.
