I loved the amount I was able to learn about tools and about construction while working there. This was no Home Depot, it is 1000x better. They really enforced taking car of the customers and worked to build their employees into the most knowledgeable people possible.
What I wish was different
There were many times where you had to deal with angry or frustrated customers, but that's just retail.
Advice
It is what you make it a Jackson's. If you get a job there then be eager to learn and to be apart of a team.
