What I liked

I loved getting office experience and learning new programs on the computer as well as being able to connect and work with different interns in other offices! (There were offices in NYC, Chicago, Cincinnati, and LA)

What I wish was different

I wish I could've collaborated with more interns in my 10 week summer internship.

Advice

Don't be afraid to ask questions and have people clarify things! It shows initiative and that you're really interested in the work you're doing.

May - August 2018 • Chicago, IL

What I liked

Company culture was amazing. Had a ton of fun each day with my team. I felt like I could make a real impact on the final product and had a lot of input to my direct manager.

What I wish was different

I wish I was paid more. Ability to work overtime in order to make a bit more money. Living in Chicago was expensive and I was not paid any better than I would have in Cincinnati.

Advice

I would tell anyone to try and do an internship away from home. This was a great experience for me because it made me grow up and get out of my comfort zone. I enjoyed every minute of being in Chicago and would recommend it to anyone looking for summer internships.

Market Research Intern

June - August 2018 • Tel Aviv-Yafo, Gush Dan

What I liked

I really enjoyed doing an internship abroad in Israel. The work culture was very free and unstructured unlike internships in the U.S. so I got to be part of lots of projects and work with different departments within the company as well as with different clients.

What I wish was different

I wish I was not the only intern in the office, and I also wish I spoke more Hebrew so that there would not have been a language barrier.

Advice

I really encourage everyone to try to intern abroad. There are so many programs out there for so many fields and so many countries. I learned so much that I think I would not have had the opportunity to learn if I had interned in the U.S.

May - August 2017 • New York City, NY

What I liked

This internship was very hands on where you work on every stage of the research process starting with survey design, data collection, data analysis, and creating client deliverables. There were many training sessions so you are always learning.

What I wish was different

More opportunity to work with other teams.

Advice

Take initiative to start your own project or be willing to take ownership of an already existing project.
