What I liked

I was able to be down on the manufacturing floor learning processes and machine validation.

What I wish was different

I wish I would of had more projects to do, I had more down time than I would of liked.

Advice

Finding a mentor whether it is within your department or outside is very beneficial for gaining insight and having someone to go to.

What I liked

I loved being able to take on real projects and work cross-functionally. I learned about the company structure and the role each department plays in engineering work. I liked getting familiar with our products and knowing that we make a difference in others' lives. I especially enjoyed the people I worked with at Invacare.

What I wish was different

Advice

Ask lots of questions! There are lots of people who know more than you do about the work you are doing and even beyond, for professional and personal development. Your team and the people you collaborate with are more than willing to help and give advice. Ask as many questions as you can, to learn quickly and succeed.
