I have learned a lot about the organization and had access to some great webinars. I really enjoy the board meetings and having the chance to voice my opinion on helping achieve organizational goals. I also have learned how to use Wild Apricot for web design and account management.
What I wish was different
I wish we had more volunteers. There are so many things ISPI BABS could be doing such as mentorships, short-term projects, and committees but we just don't have the people at the moment.
Advice
Be open-minded and enjoy the experience. There are a lot of areas you can contribute to within ISPI. You don't need to dedicate any set amount of hours. Make the most of the time you have to learn from others and have fun doing it.
