About Interfaith Center of Greater Philadelphia

The mission of the Interfaith Center of Greater Philadelphia is to advance mutual trust, understanding and cooperation among faith communities, in order to work together for the common good of the region. The Center has five core areas of work: 1) an interfaith high school service-learning program called the Walking the Walk youth initiative; 2) adult learning and leadership opportunities, workshops, and trainings; 3) the Religious Leaders Council of Greater Philadelphia; 4) the brand new Inter-Seminary Initiative; and 5) the Dare to Understand community outreach initiative. The Interfaith Center staff and board are committed to creating accessible models for how people of a variety of faith traditions can work together to effectively address common issues in the pursuit of a just society.

“The staff was all really kind and the office is in Fishtown so there were some cute cafes but also a lot more parking than in center city. During the day there was always something to do, my supervisor was accessible and there were days dedicated to learning about aspects of Non-profit development which was helpful to build new skills. ”
