What I liked

I love the people there and what I am doing. It is giving me a lot of experience and I am learning things I could not learn in a classroom. I really like how I have been involved in the opening of a new company (InterChange Express) and new warehouse building (InterChange Cold Storage). Both are a big deal and it makes me feel proud to have experience in this.

What I wish was different

I wish I could of visited our different branches throughout Virginia, but being a full time student, my schedule is tight right now. Next semester, I am getting internship credit and have been promised I will get to go to them!

Advice

Work hard trying to find internships. I googled companies in Harrisonburg that have larger HR departments and reached out to all of them. I did not hear back from many, or they did need an intern. Finally, InterChange reached back out to me and it was very rewarding. Hands down the best experience I could have asked for.
