Content Delivery Operations Intern

May 2018 • Champaign, IL

What I liked

The team of interns and intern leads became very close. We got to work in live data and do work the full-time employees were doing. It was cool to see our work being put in the company’s system for customers to use.

Advice

As a usually introverted person, asking questions and giving suggestions will help you be able to perform your best. They hired you as an intern for a reason and are there to help you learn and grow.

Knowledge Intern

May - July 2018 • Urbana, IL

What I liked

I loved learning about the behind the scenes work done in the medical field. Through this internship, I was able to learn about EMRs and how it is compiled and put together to ensure that health professionals are able to focus on clinical work rather than worrying about coding and data input. The the employees and supervisors at this site were very flexible and interested in my growth. This pushed for me to learn as much as I could and to ask as many questions.

What I wish was different

I wish that there was one site rather than two. This way the interns would not be separated and there would be a more connected group. If there was a pre-internship packet or document we could read which would help us with this internship then that would be very helpful as well.

Advice

Teamwork and communication is VERY important. You are not an individual but rather a community.
