Research Assistant

June - August 2018 • Washington, DC

What I liked

I was able to work closely with Fellows to complete research tasks, and voice my opinion on what worked or didn't work. I also had the opportunity to bring up new ideas and all members on the team were willing to listen and take action on these ideas. The work environment is friendly, and co-interns are enthusiastic to help each other out.

What I wish was different

If there had been more tasks to complete, I would have felt more productive during this internship.

Advice

For anyone who has this opportunity, I would advise them to not be shy to voice your opinions. Go up to the Fellows and ask them questions, find any way you can to engage. This is how you can make it a rewarding experience.
