I wish the instructions for how to get started would have been a little simpler and easier to understand.

Advice

Get started and devote time to the job. Pick a good time frame and force yourself to work those hours and understand you will get better with more time.

It’s beneficial to pick out your own hours because it would be less stressful because your able to cancel or pick up hours as you wish.

What I liked

Being able to shop and deliver groceries / prescriptions for people who are not able to make it out of the house. Customers being very supportive. Learn how to solve customer complaints and adjust orders. work with app technology to deliver the best customer service to customers.

Learning how to be efficient with shopping and travel to ensure on time delivery of the products the customer ordered. learned the best way to find replacement items when products my customer requested when it is not available, especially during the peak of the COVID 19 pandemic when there were shortages on many items.

Instacart was nice to work for because it gave me a lot of flexibility with my job. I was able to choose the best times for me to work and decide what fit in my schedule. This allowed me time to do many other things as well with my summer.

What I liked

Completely on my own schedule, I could work as much or as little as I wanted to and the job was very independent.

What I wish was different

It used a lot of gas, and although the distance was calculated in compensation, it was still an expense that other jobs do not have.

Advice

The flexibility of this job was absolutely the right choice for me this summer. I was not ready to commit to a schedule but still needed a source of income, and this was the perfect solution. However, this type of job will only be effective if you have the motivation and self-determination to work consistently.
