I liked that I was fully immersed in all of the ongoing projects that the company was involved in. I really liked that I was contributing to the team and my work was truly helpful for the projects we were involved in. It was not a bunch of unnecessary busy work, but worthwhile and exciting projects to estimate and contribute towards. I really felt like an asset to the team.
What I wish was different
Overall I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with this company. They give their co-ops as much opportunity to learn and grow as possible, and they really care about teaching and helping us learn. A great company to work for all around.
Advice
My best piece of advice I can share about my experience is to try to experience as much work as you can and take advantage of your mentors around you. Pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and trying things you don't know how to do are great ways to learn. This company has so many great mentors who all will help you learn as much as you want. Be ambitious and take advantage of the learning!

Engineering Co-op
August - December 2021 • Cleveland, OH
What I liked
I really enjoyed just how hands-on and interactive this experience was. Every day presented a brand new learning opportunity where I could be challenged and grow. The skills I've developed during this experience have definitely made me a better engineer.
What I wish was different
One thing I wish I could've seen was what the higher end of management was like. However, that exposure is slotted for my next rotation.
Advice
Be confident in your lack of experience. You'll never be put in a position where a mistake will cost you anything but mistakes are necessary in order to learn. When I started offering to try anything they could throw at me I definitely screwed up a lot but learned so much more in the process.

What I liked
Hands on work. Mostly outdoors with all workers and at the end if the co op we have a service project where we take a week to plan a volunteer project to help someone not as fortunate as us. We helped build a brand new porch for someone in cleveland.
What I wish was different
Longer co op. I enjoyed it.
