Wealth Management Intern

June 2020 • Foster City, CA

What I liked

My experience working at IEQ Capital was fun, informative, relevant, and exciting. I loved how each intern was assigned a point person who they could always turn to if they needed help or had questions. I also really appreciated how there was never any busy work that was given, as all projects that I did had a direct impact on the business and served to help the clients out.

Intern

February - May 2020 • Foster City, CA

What I liked

There were three things I particularly loved at IEQ: 1. Employees. The employees at IEQ are not only incredibly bright, but also genuinely good human beings. Although I was 'just' and intern, I always felt valued by my team. 2. Desire to achieve greatness. At IEQ, everyone always gives their very best to perform at the highest level at all times. 3. Support. As an intern, I had hundreds of questions. Fortunately, my team was very receptive and available to answer my questions, allowing me to grow immensely during my tenure at IEQ.

Advice

Be a go-getter. People at IEQ are great, but you really have to put yourself out there in order to get the best experience. From having a 'no job is too small' mentality, to volunteering to take on assignments, to asking colleagues for some work assignments, you have to put yourself out there in order to really learn and grow.

Intern

April - July 2020 • Foster City, CA

What I liked

The company has a great culture with a very welcoming team. There are opportunities to work/communicate individually for CEOs and partners and even ultra high net-worth clients as an intern. Junior staff is smart, friendly and keep it lighthearted, and everyone, regardless of their position, has bought into the success and future of the company in a very genuine way. IEQ Capital is established from their years at BofA and First Republic, successful, and remain the fastest growing name in the US wealth management industry.

What I wish was different

N/A. I hear the office is incredible with shuffleboards and ping-pong tables and unlimited catered food- wish I got to see it.

Advice
