I liked all the experience that I gained in the work environment I was placed in. I now have some experience in multiple fields and understand how they overlap.

What I wish was different

I wish that I had been able to settle into my position faster.

Advice

I would say that everyone should intern in the kind of place they are thinking about working in. It will give them an idea of what their future will actually be like. School will only show you so much.

A job is a job and since I do enjoy it, I wouldn't change anything.

Advice

On campus jobs really are great for financially struggling students. They work around your schedule and know all about problems that arise from school. Also a great way to possibly get a job in your major's field for a head start before graduating!

What I liked

I was working in the office I am in during the school year so it was incredibly rewarding to be able to work with prospective students during the summer. I love working in a University setting and having students close to my age interested in my home is even better!

What I wish was different

The days are long and tours can be hot, there isn't much I would change just the weather a bit cooler. Honestly, no complaints from me!

Be on top of communication to let the students know just how much you care about them!

They were very friendly and I had the chance to personally work with a PhD and I was able to work with a research team from different countries around the world.

I just wish it was closer. The hour commute was difficult.
