What I liked

I liked that it was a different type of work. The work itself wasn't hard but it was repetitive. It also helps when they give you a place to stay and give you food. It was a great experience since I met people from all around the world. Not to mention you get to explore the beauty of Alaska when you have days off.

What I wish was different

I wish there would have been more of a schedule for work. However it is important to understand that without fish there isn't work.

Advice

Get ready to work long hours. This job is not for everyone. We started at 8am and got of at midnight at times. It depends on how many pounds of fish we received from the fishermen. Also bring a good amount of socks and foot powder.
