Working for Lilly was the best part of the internship. She is a great boss that gives creative and work freedom when deserved. She trusted my input and opinions and gave me the freedom to be successful. I really enjoyed working on projects that I was not yet trained on, and given the license to figure things out and get work done on time. Excellent experience overall and has been great to talk about in current interviews and networking.
What I wish was different
I wish it was paid because I did work hard and felt like I was contributing value to the organization and I wanted to be compensated for my hard work. I also did not like online, even though there were other cool interns, it was hard to get to know them.
Advice
Volunteer to work on as many projects as a startup can give you, it will massively increase your skill toolkit and give you many interesting things to talk about in future interview scenarios.
