What I liked

The people at Hummel Group were so nice to me. I love the employee culture there and it's definitely the type of place that I would like to work at after graduation. While this was what especially stuck out to me, I also liked the projects I was able to work on. I got to plan a golf outing for some of our advisors and their clients, as well as coordinate the making of various marketing videos about our offerings.

What I wish was different

It was a remote internship for the entirety of the summer. While I was still able to have a good experience, the fact that it was remote made it less rewarding.

Advice

One piece of advice I would share about this experience is that managers are looking for their employees, even the low-level interns, to take initiative. I found that my manager would rather I take initiative on something and make a mistake instead of being hesitant to take responsibility for something myself out of fear of making a mistake.
