PT Tech

June 2019 • Rockford, MI

What I liked

I loved getting to work with patients and being able to learn things hands on. Working with the PT's and being able to ask questions allowed me to gain a much better understanding of how the body worked.

What I wish was different

I wish that I would have been able to work with a wider variety of patients. Many of the patients were elderly due to the nature of the clinic and area that I was working. It would have been cool to work with some younger patients and some college aged students as well. I also would have loved to work with college athletes and see how a PT would handle that.

Advice

My best piece of advice for working as a PT tech is to not be afraid to ask questions. The PT's are very experienced in what they are doing, and there is a reason for everything that they are doing. If you are curious about how something works, just ask about it. The PT is not going to think any less of you for it, in fact, they may even think more of you for it.
