The mentorship program and the organization of the program were set up very well. People are friendly and helpful.
What I wish was different
That the company provided funds to visit the office in person at least once.
Advice
Ask questions! Don't be scared because your mentor and other employees are always willing to help.

Technology Intern
May - August 2019 • St. Louis, MO
What I liked
Real-world experience within an agency. I worked directly with Marriott brand websites and learned numerous workflow skills along the way. I was also treated well, almost like another employee at times, even though I was only an intern.
What I wish was different
I wish I knew the job would essentially resemble temporary work borrowed for the summer to help out a heavily burdened team within the Tech Department. While it was great for real world experience, I suppose I was expecting something more structured, involving other Tech Interns (there was only one other) and side projects that only we would work on.
Advice
I would advise anyone else who takes a similar Tech Internship like this to be patient. The integration process takes some time and some getting used to. You could likely not even be sure what you're doing for a solid week or so. But eventually things will get better and you'll be able to start running with what you know.
