I love being able to help others in difficult situations and having a solution to their problem
What I wish was different
I wish I had more staff available, so that patients can receive better, more individualized care.

patient care technician

What I liked
The experience that I got by working in a hospital. From cardiovascular diseases to Covid-19, I was able to observe and provide care to patients who needed critical care. Working in the emergency department, CCU and PCU showed me the varied care a hospital provides based on the floor the patient resides in.
What I wish was different
More staff to lower the workload on existing workers. The hospital does a decent job in providing compensation for extra hours but most of the time it's only a one-time pay premium and not a permanent pay raise.
Advice
This job is perfect for people who are trying to go into a medical field career because it reveals the patient care side of a hospital and not just the physician role in the hospital.
