I appreciated the flexibility in my work schedule, which allowed me to seamlessly balance my professional responsibilities with academic commitments. Working remotely, I experienced a strong sense of support from the staff, and the inclusion of breakout sessions during online meetings provided valuable networking opportunities. The detailed explanations of engagement tasks not only facilitated a thorough understanding but also emphasized the significance of each assignment in relation to the overall audit process.

What I liked
Heinfeld, Meech & Co has an incredible atmosphere! I was able to be part of the first virtual internship and it really was incredible how they still made an effort to reach out and train and get to know me. The staff is kind and extremely helpful. Anytime I found myself lost or confused, there was a staff member that was more than happy to give me the necessary training. It was difficult to do everything virtually at times but Heinfeld Meech really has a great virtual set up and are making the switch as easy on their staff and clients as possible. I loved my time working there!
What I wish was different
Because it was the first virtual internship, there were a few hiccups that will probably be ironed out. The main thing is that I wish I had more of an opportunity to shadow the staff. I'm not sure what that would look like virtually but that is an opportunity I wish I had more of.
Advice
Don't worry if you don't know what to do! Ask someone for help and they will be more than happy to help!
