What I liked

Meeting new people, using my skills to my advantage, showing kids how to handle a first time job, but most of all learning about the different cultures of the J1 people that we would hire for the summer.

What I wish was different

I wish more people would have come ready to work rather than expect to be paid to just be there. I would have also liked to see more supportive and joyful attitudes. Most of the kids that worked there weren't happy about having a job in general so it made the other kids not happy to be there either. I would also have liked to hear more peoples opinions on things they don't like and suggestions on how to fix them

Advice

Find the things you like about your job and use them as reasons to want to come to work. Also find the things you don't like about your job and introduce efficient ways to improve them, rather than just "putting up with them." Other people probably agree with you, and would be willing to help if it means it would make them want to be at work. Lastly, be prepared to work with all kinds of people, even those who you might not get along with. try to find things they like and relate to them about it. Not only does it make the workplace more enjoyable for you, but it also promotes a friendly/comfortable environment.
