I love that I was given the opportunity to expand on my communication skills.
What I wish was different
I wish that I would be have been more versed in policy and practice. As a Health, Science, Science, and Policy major, I have somewhat been exposed to health policy reform however, I an not as versed in economic and political policy, which are some of the focal areas of the program.
Advice
I would tell any student entering into any internships that you should always go into it with an open mind and an open heart. Also, look for opportunities beyond the limits of your internship. Internships do not always come as perfect, packaged gifts. Create a list of goals you want to accomplish Sometimes you must tailor your internship to your needs and wants.
