What I liked

I had the ability to not only cover the front desk but also help oversee the housekeeping and kitchen attendant during breakfast time. The employer and co-workers are very nice and helpful.

What I wish was different

I wish they would be more structured in chain of command.

Advice

I would like to have some sort of weekly briefing to all the back of the house workers as a reminder of our commitment to quality service and how to ask for help if needed.

What I liked

It was a good experience to learn a lot of valuable information in an industry that interested me. I got an inside look at every aspect of the hotel and gained valuable information I can take with me into the future.

What I wish was different

I would have liked for the training to have been more spread across all sectors and jobs. I would have also liked to have had a little bit more training with the management positions.

Advice

Ask questions and take in all the information you can can. This is valuable experience that is fairly hard to replicate anywhere else.
