I loved working with the kids this summer and playing with them and teaching them life lessens. This job helped me find my career path in education and I couldn't be more excited about it.
What I wish was different
It's always hard because this job takes up most of my summer, so I don't have as much time to go on vacations with my family and friends. The days can also be really long and tiring in the heat outside.
Advice
Make the most of your experience. I know a lot of other counselors who show up each day and want to be anywhere else but camp. I think it's all about what you make of it and if you show up having a good time, you will leave having had that fun time.

GREAT people, felt like such a family, but overtime was mandatory which meant working 50 hour weeks sometimes, management has not always been the best, but it's improving.

What I liked
I was able to broaden my experience working with children. I also was able to be outside a lot, and use my creativity to plan activities for the children.
What I wish was different
I wish that we were able to have a warmer start to summer so that we could have done more activities from the beginning of the summer.
Advice
Be open to all activities; join in on them don't just supervise!
