Guardian Industries

Auto CAD Design Intern

May - August 2019 • Auburn Hills, MI

What I liked

Working for Guardian Industires was the best summer work experience I've ever had! All of the supervisors made sure that their interns would leave with a valuable experience that they'd never forget about. As an engineering major, I was able to test my skills with design on Inventor and Auto CAD. I was able to sit in on important meetings with some involving international collaborations. Guardian also gave the interns opportunities to travel to multiple locations throughout the summer to work on various projects, and to get a better idea about different fields in the company. Overall, Guardian Industries is such a great atmosphere to work in.

What I wish was different

I don't have any constructive feedback. The experience couldn't have been any more perfect.

Advice

When talking up an internship at Guardian Industries, try to learn as much as possible. Going into every single day with an open mind and willing to learn about anything and everything is the best mentally to have. I don't know a single intern that had a bad experience.

Financial Planning and Analysis Intern

May - August 2019 • Auburn Hills, MI

What I liked

The people and the culture of Guardian Industries were extremely comfortable. Everyone was so willing to help the interns. The interns also got meaningful work for their projects.

What I wish was different

The only thing I wish could've been different is to have some more planned intern activities, a small complaint.

Advice

Ask questions, if you find yourself in a position where the people around you are so willing to help, you should use them as a resource to absorb as much knowledge as you possibly can.
