What I wish was different
I wish I could have been on the team longer so I could've gotten to learn more in depth and experience how different times of the year (in relation to voting day) are handled differently (ex. voter outreach in the summer versus voter outreach 2 months before election)
I also wish I could've learned more about the administrative tasks of organizing a campaign, such as cutting turf, data entry, etc.
Advice
Start as early as you can and stick with an internship, don't try to do a million internships for a short period of time, make the most of your experience, take advantage of professional development or opportunities to be more involved
