I enjoyed getting so much exposure to different areas of genetic counseling and seeing how individual genetic counselors and geneticists each uniquely interacted with patients. Everybody was so welcoming and always willing to answer my quiestions.
What I wish was different
I wish that I knew how much I would learn from the start and write it down in a more organized way so that I can easily go back review.
Advice
I realized how important it is to get exposed to many areas of the field. I encourage others to just send an email, because often times people are willing to talk to you about their interests and help you if you are just willing to ask.
