Founded in 1979, Greater Albany Public School District proudly educates the children of Albany and surrounding areas of Linn and Benton counties. Spanning 154 square miles, the district is one of Oregon's largest, with a student population of over 9,500 and a staff of more than 1,200. The district offers education for children of all abilities in 14 elementary schools, three middle schools, one 3-8 school, two high schools, and one alternative high school. Albany, with its ideal geographic location, is surrounded by some of the most scenic natural environments in the country. Situated along the Willamette River and nestled between the Cascade Mountains and coast, the city is an easy drive to snow-covered slopes or the ocean beaches. We want you to be part of the GAPS team!
