I loved the community aspect of the resort, and how all the staff truly cared about each other.

I wish I could have moved around to different departments, instead of just housekeeping.

I liked to freedom to operate the stores and set up designs with minimal help from my superiors.

I wish that I had been give more time to do behind the scenes work and less time operating a cash register.

I would highly recommend this internship opportunity to people who want to go into retail operations because of the extensive experience that I have received from this position. I was able to learn about inventory management, purchasing, display arrangement, customer service, and employee scheduling

I wish the outdoor uniforms hadn’t been completely black with long pants during the middle of the summer.
Advice
It’s a good way to make a lot of fast cash over the summer, but don’t become a full-time server or else you can’t say no to shifts.

I liked the number of hours I got because it was basically a full-time job so I was making decent money.

I wish I had better training, I was kind of just thrown into the job with very little assistance.
