I liked that the internship was in Grand Forks and that it was heavily related to what I hope to do in the future. My boss and I got along incredibly well which I loved. Getting the opportunity to interact with the Grand Forks community in ways that I never had before was extremely enlightening and impactful. I made so many connections that I utilize now in my role as Student Body President at UND.
What I wish was different
I have no complaints about my internship experience. Handshake did get to be tedious because I knew what my goals and expectations were, but for other students and for data collection purposes I can see the benefit of the accountability handshake provides and I'm happy to help provide data.
Advice
Make the most of the networking opportunities that you receive.
