I gained lots of experience in a plant location, learning about the various diagrams and standard operating procedures involved. I also learned about how corn is processed and used in various industries.
What I wish was different
I wish that there was more formal training involved. I was mostly just left on my own after the HR onboarding, and wasn't given much training in the actual department I was placed in.
Advice
Ask questions early and try to learn how to manage projects as quickly as possible.
