I learned what a day in the life of an accountant is like. I was able to deposit checks, open mailed in invoices and put the into Peachtree (accounting software program), work with accounts payable and receivable.
What I wish was different
I wish I had taken an accounting class prior to my internship so I could understand what I was working on and apply it to my class.
