Advice
Apply yourself, there are dry spells where no one will come in for awhile. Use that time wisely to learn about what you're doing. I focused my major in sales, so i learned the products, industry trends, and selling strategies and relationship building. I read books to keep my mine focused on building my skills as a sales professional and look to take a consultative approach. I had a coworker who was in school for biology, and he focused heavily on learning ingredients, how they effect us, and how they break down in the body. He had much deeper knowledge than I did, and we were both effective sales people while at GNC. I found my answers through effective questioning and solution based selling. Shared personal experience and what show your knowledge to the customer. It all comes down to find out what they want to achieve and over coming their objections.
