About Give Kids The World

Give Kids The World Village is an 89-acre, whimsical nonprofit resort in Kissimmee, Florida, that provides week-long, cost-free wish vacations to critically ill children and their families from around the world who want to visit Central Florida.

Since 1986, Give Kids The World Village has welcomed more than 188,000 families from all 50 states and 77 countries. The Village is made possible by the support of generous donors and community partners, as well as thousands of passionate volunteers – who donate their time and talent making wishes come true. Learn about volunteer opportunities.

A stay at the Village is much more than a vacation. During one incredible week, wish families laugh, play, and create priceless memories together away from hospital visits and medical procedures. It's a magical week of "YES" where wish kids can experience the simple joys of childhood, and where families can recapture some of the precious moments that may have been missed due to illness.

“I truly enjoyed providing assistance to the guests at Give Kids the World. My team works in the restaurant/ dining area. I have had the pleasure of assisting Guests with getting silverware and drinks, accompanying them to an open table to enjoy their meal as a family, working behind the salad and fruit food line (replenishing items and assisting Guests with choices), cleaning tables, and greeting Guests and guiding them through this experience from their entry to their exit. It is amazing to see how grateful these very special Guests are for our assistance and time. My favorite part is putting a smile on their faces.”

“Being able to help by giving them the hope of actually going out in the world and to know what it means to have dreams. Knowing that I could greatly impact the community was such a rewarding experience since this helps spread the word on children everywhere can live filled with hope. ”
