I loved interning for Girls on the Run- Treasure Valley! They're an incredible team that ensures you feel empowered to learn and grow while gaining new work experiences! As a project intern I enjoyed serving as a coach and creating surveys to support office efforts.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more time in this role before graduation so I could learn more about the grant writing process.
Advice
I would encourage you to apply if you're hoping to work with non-profit organizations and enjoy working with kids! As a Girls on the Run coach I'd encourage you to plan ahead for lessons and walk/run with your team during practices to increase team morale.

What I liked
I loved working with the Girls on the Run Treasure Valley team. They were all very positive and helped me a lot throughout my internship. I was able to work with younger girls throughout the week while also assisting with the marketing and design side of GOTR. Overall I had a great time and it opened my eyes to new possibilities.
What I wish was different
I wish we had more time to work on designing prizes for the GOTR girls in the future.
Advice
This experience would be great if you are interested in working with kids in the future. It is a very rewarding position and a great work environment as well!
