I liked the learning environment that Gilden Woods has. I was able to learn how to teach young children while having a lot of fun in the process.
What I wish was different
I wish I had started earlier (May rather than June).
Advice
Don’t be scared to make mistakes and ask a lot of questions from the teachers you are placed with. You will learn a lot quicker and feel more confident teaching.

What I liked
I loved the atmosphere and getting to make connections with children.
What I wish was different
Sometimes the schedule was hard because the clock out time depended on how many kids were left. So it was frustrating not knowing exactly what time you would get to leave work.
Advice
I would encourage people who have a passion for kids to work at a daycare because you make great connections and get the ability to lead and teach. I would give the advice to remain patient and always put your best foot forward with the parents so they establish trust.
